Adolescents and Families

Juneau Youth Services is here to help. When Alaska youth are struggling with substance use or behavioral issues, our programs are designed to provide hope and opportunity to the entire family. We tailor our services to the individual, with support for every family member. We meet people where they are, and through personal relationships, help them move forward with the skills necessary to thrive in life and within their families.

The first step is an initial assessment by a clinician in The Link program. They will provide treatment recommendations. This helps to determine the right program fit. In all of our programs, we’ve adopted the Teaching Family Model, which is an evidence-based, trauma-informed model designed to help young people live in a family setting. The primary goal is to maintain or reunite the child with their family whenever it’s in the best interest of the child. We offer social and recreational opportunities because we believe they assist in the child’s development and a successful return to the community.

We provide services regardless of ability to pay using a sliding fee scale, which determines rates based on family size and income. We accept health insurance and are happy to talk about any financial questions you have. More payment information can be found here.
