Home and Community-Based

Our home and community-based services are available for families living in Juneau. We currently provide therapeutic foster carecase management and our new Healthy Families program.

Out-of-home care provided by specially trained foster parents caring for young people with significant emotional, behavioral and/or social issues. This service also includes individual and family therapy, as well as support services for Therapeutic Foster Care parents.

Healthy Families

JYS combined the previous Family Outpatient Program, Circles of Support, School-Based & Early Childhood Services, into a single program called Healthy Families. Using the Teaching Family Model, JYS provides individual, and/or family, and/or group therapies. They also provide behavioral health support with the goal of young people learning skills to self-manage their behaviors. They are assisted and guided by their natural supports including parents, teachers, extended family and friends.

Case Management

Case management is a collaborative process with the young person, their parents and treatment providers, to identify needed services, obtain those services, monitor service effectiveness and coordinate with the entire treatment team.
