The Assessment Center is the doorway to Juneau Youth Services programs. Any family or community member can call the Assessment Center to learn more about all programs that JYS offers and begin the process of identifying if JYS is right for their needs.
The referral process is simple: contact the Assessment Center at 907-789-4733 to begin. After a child has been referred, the Assessment Center will assist families through the intake process. All potential clients initially receive a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment from a master’s level Clinician. The assessment process takes into consideration the emotional and behavioral needs of children and their families. The assessment is used to generate specific clinical recommendations for the child which may include JYS programs or recommends to other services in the community. The Assessment Center also facilitates access to limited psychiatric services.
If you need to fax documentation directly to the Intake and Assessment center, you can fax it to 907-789-8443.
